Earlier this year, Colette Terris made a public appeal from her hospital bed for politicians to unite to help ease problems within our under pressure health system.

A Co Armagh woman, who lost her mum to cancer earlier this year, has demanded Northern Ireland's politicians show empathy and get back to work.

She also called for politicians to unite to help ease problems within our under pressure health system. "There were no ambulances available so we had to bring her down and when she arrived at Craigavon, she was told she had spinal cord compression, which is basically a tumour on the spine." "While having that emergency MRI may not have changed her prognosis, it definitely would have changed how she experienced the last few days and weeks on this planet.

Along with Macmillan Cancer Support and more than 80 people living with cancer, she demanded that MLAs “get back to work” and take immediate action to address the health service. "Your mum dying isn't important enough and people going through cancer aren't important enough for us to return.
