Musician and author Izzy Judd talks honestly about mental health and her fertility struggles on The Netmums Podcast

Speaking to The Netmums Podcast , the violinist reflected on the time she posted on Instagram about her struggles. ‘It's so interesting in hindsight,’ she said. ‘I feel quite able to talk about most things quite easily. But disordered eating … I found quite difficult to open up about.’ In an Instagram post from November 2021, Izzy said, ‘I was battling disordered eating which was having a huge impact on my life, health and fertility as I was having no periods.

In her 2021 post, she said: ‘I needed to make changes which meant changing my eating habits, stopping exercising to allow my body complete rest and managing work expectations, easier said than done but my focus was getting my periods back for health reasons but also because we knew we wanted another baby. One month after making these big changes my periods came back, 4 months later I was pregnant.
