'Near-total depletion' of food and water supplies in Gaza is threatening the lives of those who have survived the bombing, a charity has warned.Cases of dehydration and malnutrition are rising rapidly, said Action Aid, which works with women and girls in poverty.Palestinians told the organisation there was no food in supermarkets and what sustenance they could find was making them unwell.
'Cases of dehydration and malnutrition are increasing rapidly. Hospitals, which have remained over capacity for weeks on end, can offer no solace to those on the brink of starvation.'The number of aid trucks allowed access to Gaza each day has reduced since last week, with fewer than 30 crossing the border today, according to the US.Aid agencies estimate at least 100 trucks a day are needed to meet the most urgent needs of people living in Gaza.
