Erling Haaland picked up an injury in Manchester City's win over Bournemouth, putting his fitness vs Young Boys in the Champions League into question.

Erling Haaland provided Manchester City with a fitness boost as he trained with the squad ahead of the Champions League clash with Young Boys on Tuesday.

Haaland was substituted at half-time of City's win over Bournemouth at the weekend as a precaution after feeling a twist in his ankle, with Pep Guardiola saying he 'felt better' on Sunday but was a doubt for the visit of Young Boys, and maybe against Chelsea at the weekend. Earlier on Monday, Guardiola said Haaland would be considered against Young Boys if he was fit, and that possibility remains after he was part of the training squad that afternoon.ALSO READ: Pep Guardiola issues Erling Haaland injury update ahead of Man City vs Young Boys

With Haaland potentially available, City will now make a decision on his fitness, as Guardiola said he would not consider resting the striker with the trip to Chelsea on Sunday in mind, with five days between the two games. His return to training also provides City with a boost ahead of a run of fixtures that includes Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa in the next four Premier League games - with Champions League fixtures against Young Boys, RB Leipzig and a trip to Red Star Belgrade in the same run of games.Sergio Gomez was missing from training after picking up an injury that saw him arrive to the Bournemouth fixture on crutches, while Kevin De Bruyne remains a longer-term absentee.
