“The practice has been operating with half the workforce of three years ago and as a result the management of the ever increasing workload has become unsustainable.”Announcing the temporary solution on Monday, the Department of Health said it follows extensive work to identify a new GP contractor to take over the practice, following the resignation of the current GP Partners.

"They will receive letters on the situation over the coming days. Patients needing GP services should continue to contact the practice as normal."
