RHOC's Nermina Pieters-Mekic 'I have to beat breast cancer-my daughter needs me'

Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Nermina Pieters-Mekic has pledged to do "everything and anything" to beat breast cancer so she can watch her two-year-old daughter grow up.

Nermina and her footballer husband Erik Pieters, 35, who plays for West Bromwich Albion, are parents to two-year-old Alaya-Rose, and Nermina is determined to see her "grow up". "They couldn’t do all the checks because I was pregnant so I kept thinking, ‘I’ll never forgive myself for not seeing Alaya grow up.’”

"I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen to me," she said. "I never get ill, I eat a good diet, I exercise with my horses, I barely drink, I’m very healthy. But cancer doesn’t discriminate. One in seven women will get breast cancer in their lifetime, and a lot of those will be young women."
