More than a dozen people have been killed after an Israeli airstrike near the entrance of AL-Shifa hospital in Gaza, according to Hamas-run health authorities.
Israel has claimed responsibility for the bombing saying Hamas militants were travelling with the targeted ambulance convoy.Among the dead from the airstrike are women and children. A surgeon at the hospital, Ghassan Abu Sitta, described the scene saying it is “still chaos” in the emergency department.
