Predators forward Austin Watson has been upgraded to 'available' status by the NHL.

forward Austin Watson has been reinstated by the NHL and NHLPA Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program, the league announced on Monday.

Watson was suspended 27 games, which was reduced to 18 after an appeal, for what the league deemed “unacceptable off-ice conduct.” He returned to the ice after serving the ban, but then he was placed in Stage 2 of the league’s substance abuse and behavioural health program “for treatment related exclusively to his ongoing issues with alcohol abuse.”
