The New England Patriots will be without the services of two starting-caliber players when they take the field at Hard Rock Stadium against the Miami Dolphins for their Week 8 matchup on Sunday.

The Patriots enjoyed perfect attendance for Friday’s practice session, their last before traveling to Miami Gardens on Saturday. Offensive tackle Calvin Anderson continues to deal with an undisclosed illness which once again kept him from the field. As a result, he is out for Sunday’s game. Veteran offensive tackle Calvin Anderson and hybrid rusher/receiver Ty Montgomery were the only two players absent from Wednesday’s session.

New England enjoyed nearly perfect attendance for their first session heading into this weekend’s contest in Miami Gardens. Only rookie defensive end Keion White was absent, as he remains in concussion protocol. However, several key members of their roster were limited, including starting left tackle Trent Brown who left last Sunday’s win over the Bills with a knee injury.

New England will once again be without the services of offensive tackle Riley Reiff, who is set to miss his second straight game with a knee injury. Rookie defensive end Keion White has been in concussion protocol since suffering a hot to the head in New England's 21-17 loss to the Raiders in Week 6. As such, his status for Sunday comes as little surprise.

The Pats and Bills are set for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff for their Week 7 matchup from Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Despite welcoming back receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas from concussion protocol -- as well as activating cornerback Jack Jones from injured reserve on Tuesday -- New England continues to have its share of injury problems, Tight end Hunter Henry , linebacker Josh Uche , cornerback Jonathan Jones , offensive tackle Trent Brown , offensive lineman Riley Reiff and defensive end Keion White were absent for Wednesday's session.

Both the Patriots and Bills will furnish their first injury and practice participation on Wednesday at approximately 4 p.m. ET. The teams will kick off their Week 7 matchup at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The New England Patriots may be close to getting some much-needed reinforcement to their injury-plagued cornerback room.
