Sarah Beeny has opened up on her latest surgery to remove both her ovaries as she updated her fans on the latest in her situation after battling cancer over the last year.
While more research is needed to determine the exact impact the PALB2 gene mutation could have on increasing the risk of ovarian cancer, Sarah decided it was worth the extra operation at her age and especially because she's already had all of her children. In her second image, Sarah captured the sight of her lying under a blanket in a hospital bed, as she recovered.
The PALB2 gene mutation raises the risk of developing breast cancer in a similar way to the better-known BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, but was only discovered in 2006. Speaking with Gabby Logan on The Mid.Point podcast, the Property Ladder host admitted marriage isn't "easy" as she reflected on her husband's perspective.
