At approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Cabot Lane in Corner Brook. On arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male believed to be responsible for the assault. He was arrested without incident and has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The 54-year-old male victim remains in hospital.
