- Histology - Houston, Texas (US) job with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM)

The Lab Director is responsible for preparing training manuals, new policies and procedures for the daily lab operations. Lab Director is also responsible for maintaining and managing the Quality Assurance Program for the Pathology Lab, ensuring that Quality Control procedures are updated regularly and followed on a daily basis. Will routinely work with HR manager to ensure the lab organization is fully staffed with skilled employees.

Directs the strategic operations of the following sections: Digital Pathology, to include defining work responsibilities and prioritization, setting performance development plans and goals, and conducting annual performance evaluations. Assures that the labs and personnel maintain appropriate clinical, financial, and employment records that comply with record-keeping standards, laws, operational procedures, and comply with HIPAA.
