The Kremlin has denied speculation that Vladimir Putin is ill and said rumours he uses a body double are an 'absurd hoax'. There had been reports among some Western media outlets that Mr Putin suffered a health crisis on Sunday evening.

Earlier we brought you comments from Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a security conference in Prague - and now we can report a little more. The Ukrainian president said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Russia's fleet in the Black Sea has 'created the illusion of insurmountable dominance' - but this is now vanishing. 'First, Russia's navy can no longer operate in the western Black Sea and is gradually retreating from Crimea,' he wrote.

'Moscow had to announce a new base for its fleet—or rather, its remnants - in the south-east. Away from Ukrainian missiles and sea drones. But we will get them anywhere.' He also said Russia no longer has a 'single safe base or fully protected logistical route in Crimea or the occupied Black and Azov seacoasts'. Mr Zelenskyy added it is 'only a matter of time' until Ukraine has 'full fire control' over Crimea.
