A surgeon in Gaza says the hospital he is working at has run out of dressings for burns patients.Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah, a Doctors Without Borders surgeon who Sky News has spoken to regularly, tells us he's aware of roughly 70 patients with over 40% body surface area burns 'that need dressings changed every second day'.'We've now run out and we're just making do,' he says.
Dr Abu Sittah also says he's seen patients with fractures that require fixing with pins and rods that 'have just the back slab' .'I've seen patients having surgeries with minimal equipment,' he added.Another situation that has 'brought home' the severity of the situation in Gaza is 'the plight of wounded adults and children with learning difficulties and plight of their families', Dr Abu Sittah said.
