Elliot Wild died in 2011 after a battle with a rare form of leukaemia and has been described as a "massive red" by his mum Jackie. The nine-year-old's battle with cancer touched the hearts of many Liverpool and Everton fans due to his family's efforts to find a bone marrow donor to save his life.
"It was heartbreaking we were heading towards transplant and never got the opportunity to try. He was due to have it two weeks before the cancer came back. It was just unbelieve we had never lost anyone before, we did not even know what to do." Jackie from Bebington said: "I decided to raise money in his name, we started off with a goal of £1000 but to date, we have raised over £400,000. So many people have helped us and people post envelopes through my door. It is a lovely legacy to Elliot that his memory can help others.
