A young woman has revealed she self harmed, was bulimic and depressed before losing three stone on the hit TV show Doctor In The House.
“I got depressed and turned to bulimia and when I was in a self destructive mood I harmed myself so I could feel something I guess.“When I was bulimic I lost loads of hair, I had two teeth taken out, it was really bad I ruined myself. “I used to eat 10 slices of bread a day, I’d have a slice with every meal but I don’t eat white bread anymore either.”
Doctors Nina Byrnes, Sinead Beirne, fitness expert Niall Moyna and nutritionist Daniel Davey shocked the family into realising just how bad their lifestyle was.“This has taught us a new way of living completely, we went from eating take aways two or three times a week to not at all and I gave up smoking.”
Her boyfriend of five years Declan Reilly is supporting her all the way to maintain her healthier mind and body.
