Boxer Ricky Hatton has opened up about his struggles with depression and mental health - and says taking part in the next series of Dancing on Ice is about 'doing positive things'

Boxing legend Ricky Hatton says he agreed to don his skating boots and take to the ice after turning his life around and learning to focus on the positive.

"That’s basically why I'm doing it. I’ve come out of a very dark place a few years ago which is well documented, and everything is positive moving forward now for me." While he admitted he was still not "perfect" and a bit of "a Jack the lad", he said his life had been transformed. When it comes to his training for the ice, Ricky said he hopes his famous footwork in the ring will hold him in good stead.
