Mahatma Gandhi hospital nurse Barbara Haines died on Sunday night after her husband allegedly shot her and himself in front of the couple's two children.The KwaZulu-Natal department of health has paid tribute to a mother of two who was shot dead in her home on Sunday night as a"professional hard-working" nurse.
Her husband then turned the gun on himself. In a media statement KZN MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo said:"It is with great sadness and shock to report the untimely death of Sister Haines, one of our professional nurses at Mahatma Gandhi hospital." He said Haines began working at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in 2010 as a professional nurse in the mental health care unit after graduating with her nursing diploma in 2009.
Our grandmother's, mothers, sisters and daughters are no longer safe with us men, why are we so angry against these people? What's it they have done to us that we only think of killing beating assaulting them? We are born out of women so we should just love and protect them.
