About 3,000 licensed practical nurses, technicians, office workers and others at Kaiser Permanente Colorado, which is both a health care provider and a nonprofit insurance company, joined a nationwide three-day strike that began Oct. 4 over wages and staffing shortages. The nationwide labor action involved 75,000 Kaiser workers in multiple states after their contracts expired in late September.
