'It’s important to talk and know your not on your own'

Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has opened up about her hidden battle with postnatal depression, OCD and intrusive thoughts, which left her in therapy for a year.

The 33-year-old, who is mum to Matilda, eight, Delilah, five and Charlie, two, posted a throwback picture of herself breastfeeding her youngest child as she detailed her secret mental health battle for the first time. She captioned the post "Mental health" with a love heart.Helen said: "It’s important to talk and know your not on your own and to be kind, kind as you can as life is so complicated. I struggled badly with post natal after Matilda and with Charlie.

"A good therapist can really help and I feel lucky I’ve always been able to speak to my mum and had good friends. You're not on your own.The former Westholme School student was flooded with support and praise from fans on the comments section, with many thanking the TV star and model for her honestly.
