The Minister for Health has commissioned a new review by the Health Information and Quality Authority into the use of unlicenced springs in three surgeries which took place in Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
Mr Donnelly was speaking to the Seanad in the past hour after a senator who is the parent of a child who had a spinal operation described as"not credible" any suggestion that CHI management never had conversations about custom surgical implants. It appears that"the CHI are conflating the biomedical compatibility of the element of a device with the use of the device in the first place," he said.
