The Ministry of Health does not track data on cases involving disputes over whether a hospital has provided inaccurate or outdated information at the material time on whether a patient qualifies for on-panel benefits when claiming for hospitalisation expenses under the Integrated Shield Plan. But it is aware of a few c

ases in which medical providers have given information that may have led patients into thinking that their medical bill would qualify for benefits or be fully covered by insurance. Affected patients are encouraged to resolve their cases directly with the medical provider first. If this fails, they may consider turning to the Clinical Claims Resolution Process or Healthcare Mediation Unit.
