A man was found in medical distress about 3:45 a.m. in the 1000-block of Pandora Sept. 14 and died after being transported to hospital by paramedics.

Later that morning, police officers were seen crawling through grass in the area looking for evidence. The Criminal Code of Canada says a person commits a homicide when they cause someone’s death by any means, either directly or indirectly.Investigators ask anyone with information about the incident to call the Vancouver Island Integrated Crime Unit information line at 250-380-6211.
