.pwafork on the medivac bill: If people feel like their hospitals, healthcare and infrastructure is going to people who haven’t necessarily come here the right way, then that is only going to make people more against all immigration. MORE: outsiders

The Home Affairs Minister claims asylum seekers transferred from Manus Island and Nauru under Labor's medivac laws will clog Australia's health care system.

Peter Dutton told reporters on Friday that people would miss out on medical services 'because people are taking it from Nauru and Manus'. Opposition Leader Bill Shorten rubbished the minister's comments and argued any problems with the overstretched health system stemmed from Morrison government funding cuts.

PeterGleeson63 Not illegal but “unlawful”? What amateur semantics is that?

PeterGleeson63 Not if you're seeking asylum. What is it about this basic concept you don't get?

PeterGleeson63 They are not non citizens. Still with the making shit up. They are asylum seekers. We and our allies blow up their homeland and their homes with weapons manufactured in this country. Lets not skim past that bit. If anyone is acting illegally it is this country and our allies.

PeterGleeson63 He’s back

PeterGleeson63 It's a fucking shit law. Freedom of movement is as important as freedom of speech.

PeterGleeson63 who is being insincere?

PeterGleeson63 It is not illegal to seek asylum, in Australia, without a visa.

PeterGleeson63 Umm it is not illegal nor unlawful to travel to Australia without a visa ie New Zealanders! However, you could say that it is unlawful to 'enter' Australia without a visa! However, B4 you get into Aust via Border Force/Immigration, you can ask for asylum!

PeterGleeson63 It is illegal/unlawful for non citizens to enter a country without valid visa. But finish the freaking sentence!!! Unless you are an asylum seeker asking for protection from a country that is a signatory to the refugee convention. Then you are just exercising your rights. Fools.

PeterGleeson63 You must be so scared to hate people escaping devastation and war. Are you worried that people will realise your lack of ability and you will be replaced by people with honour, intelligence and compassion? RefugeesWelcome auspol

banas51 PeterGleeson63 The high court says the use of unlawful in this context is nugatory. People have a right to enter Australia by any means to seek asylum. Why do you persist in mischaracterising this?

PeterGleeson63 It is not illegal and that means the same as not unlawful to seek asylum in Australia. Therefore people who seek asylum have committed no crime and should not be detained at all. They should certainly not be detained indefinitely and should not be trafficked against their will.

PeterGleeson63

PeterGleeson63 Cue the bleeding hearts!

PeterGleeson63 I'm assuming the 63 is your IQ...

PeterGleeson63 United Nations Charter requires Member Nations to allow ARRIVALS touch their shores ,by hook or crook.Australia faced problems when the ARRIVALS just jettisoned their Papers and sought ASYLUM.People Smugglers built a TRADE IN SHIPPING PEOPLE TO AUSTRALIA without papers.

PeterGleeson63 Give it up, Gleeson - it's never illegal to seek asylum...

PeterGleeson63 So to your mind Australia could never accept any refugee who escaped their circumstances which could include imminent danger without filling in the necessary paperwork.

PeterGleeson63 Time to expand the five feminazis.

PeterGleeson63 So can we have your definitions of illegal and unlawful? Would have thought they mean pretty much the same.

PeterGleeson63 murpharoo not great loss outside of PVO there isn’t a dimmer bulb in Canberra.

PeterGleeson63 Katherine only listens to feels and never facts because she is a leftist.

PeterGleeson63 Exactly.

PeterGleeson63 That is not true Peter, there is nothing in any law that says pple seeking asylum have to have visas, most can't because they are stateless, can't get passports and we won't let them get visas, parroting nonsense as you do does not make it true, and unlawful does not mean offence

PeterGleeson63 It's The Guardian, which is like TheOnion but: 1. Without the intentional humour. 2. They constantly beg for money......

PeterGleeson63 Unlawful is Illegal !!

PeterGleeson63 when you bypass several other countries and end up half way round the world in a country that has welfare, then knock back permanent residency in the US because you are told you have to work, well it's pretty obvious

PeterGleeson63 Yeah, but she said the line, isn't that all that matters? It shows she kinda cares or something. I'm pretty sure that's how this works.
