When the owners of a California bookstore faced a medical emergency, workers from five other bookstores jumped in to help them stay open

Seth Marko and his wife, Jennifer Powell, opened The Book Catapult about a year and a half ago in San Diego. CNN reports that owners of 5 California bookstores stepped in to help a competing store stay open when its owners faced a medical emergency. This proves that California bookstore owners are stand-up people with the spine to turn the page on competition and binder with others.

This is why we don’t need big government. We can take care of ourselves

It’s just a matter of time when Amazon will crush them like a bug. In my day it was Walmart doing the crushing of local mom and pop stores.
