Discharge into Dublin Bay blamed on breakdown of a processing tank at Ringsend treatment plant

The Environmental Protection Agency has begun an investigation into discharge into Dublin Bay at the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The Ringsend plant is operating at 20% over capacity treating sewage for a population of 1.9 million instead of the 1.6 million it was designed to take.It has experienced overflows before such as in October 2019 during Storm Brian. Irish Water last year announced a €80 million investment as part of a €400 million total upgrade to cater for the extra demand.

That's shocking!

So the system can't cope with the existing Population and campaignforleo wants to bring in more immigrants when a population reduction or mass decentralization might be more apt

Only for the drone vastly overpaid IrishWater management crooks would have gotten away with this again. They want a pipeline to dump this stuff out between Malahide and Howth. Let's see them try that in Dalkey or Killiney?

queen_crafty Irish infrastructure is sub par too busy lining their pockets and not doing right thing for the Irish citizens

Is that shit?
