A terminally ill Scots dad has sadly died from cancer a year after marrying his sweetheart of 23 years.
It was discovered the disease had tragically returned when the dad-of-three attended a routine CT scan last year. Now Dianne and their three young children, Henry, 19, James, 17 and McKenzie, 15, have been left heartbroken by their loss.Dianne told the Record: "He had a heart of gold and would have done anything for anybody. He loved his kids and his family, he was a massive family man. He was an amazing guy and had friends everywhere.
Recalling the special day, Dianne said: "Being able to marry my best friend was a dream come true. After being told he didn't have long to live after his cancer came back, it was a rush to get married because we didn't know how much time we had left. "We had all of our family and friends around us and it was full of happiness and love. Our year of marriage was amazing, we managed to squeeze in as many memories as possible."
