A health expert has issued a warning surrounding 10 lesser-known signs of heart disease - that don't include chest pain - that people should be looking out for.

A doctor has warned people to be on the lookout for easy-to-miss signs of heart disease that don't include chest pains.

The Mirror reports that cardiologist Dr Rigved Tadwalkar told HuffPost: "The common thing we are concerned about is chest discomfort.Coronary heart disease is a common condition where the blood vessels that run into the heart are narrowed off or blocked completely. However, this condition can be prevents by changing certain lifestyle habits, such as stopping smoking and eating healthier, as well as exercising, according to the NHS.
