Hogwash, and you know it.

Whoever wrote this is a murderer. We're done dying for profit MedicareForAllOrBust

Bullshit “opinion” pieces like this make me glad I don’t pay for a WaPo subscription. Poorly represented (or misrepresented) facts aren’t an “opinion,” they’re propaganda. Do better.

Ah, there's the scared-plutocrat mouthpiece everyone remembers! 'Democracy Dies in Darkness' indeed. SinglePayer Medicare4All

Lol

Ha ha ha. What a bunch of whoey

this was literally paid for by the healthcare lobby. an advertisement disguised as an opinion piece.

Tweaking the ACA was always the right answer. We are tbe only industrial country w/o h/c for all. This should be a priority for both partys. Health care wi!l always as much $$ as we allow it to. When you are sick, do you want adequate care or the latest & best available?

Health care is a right, not a product.

What's wrong with you?

I’m just here for the ratio

Tagging to make fun of at a later date

“David Kendall is senior fellow for health and fiscal policy at the think tank Third Way. Jim Kessler is executive vice president for policy at Third Way.”

Democracy dies in the Washington Post

Opinion: people writing these opinions are being paid from our insurance premiums and out-of-pockets.w

Thank you for this right-wing propaganda...

where wapo goes to die in the darkness...

Revert back to what we had before Obama or bush. Anything really is better than this.

affordable to everyone means it must cost $0

Translation: dark money funded org opposed to govt health care gets space on WAPO editorial page to lie.

We need rich dickheads to stop trying to take things from the poor.

Seems to focus on caps and Obamacare. It’s just too complicated. Medicare buy in options are far more doable as it is a tried and true method. With advantage and supplemental plans the private sector won’t be left out. Perhaps using their “solution” as one option?

We have known this for a long time. The problem is....they have us so divided that we cant stand up and fight together for what is right.

“Affordable”

government is the only body capable of being fair arbiter between supply and demand. Private organizations are motivated by shareholder value, populous health care will always be secondary. Accountability should rest where the shared good lies.

Those percentages are absolutely not affordable. What a joke.

Counterpoint. Ending human suffering isn't profitable enough... So it's not happening. End of debate. Pure for-profit healthcare is immoral.

Democrats think only they can provide affordable health care

Health insurance shouldn't be For-Profit. Period. You'll never get affordable health care when you've got a middle man (the insurance company) with his hand in your pocket.

How does having the government paying the bill make it affordable?

The affordable Care Act, paid for by the explosively high premiums that the American middle class was burdened with when it was forced down our throats!!

The only reason you need it is to have someone who cant help you at the Government level !!!

Govt run health care, See VA for example Veterans giving govt a second chance to kill us

Taxpayers could have the Best healthcare in the world, if we would stop giving away $125billion a year to illegal aliens in one form or another

It's simple - Set up a VA model system for the 20 Mill that can't afford. The rest stay on Free market and with the VA model the rest get lower healthcare !

WaPo queuing opertion “Look Less Partisan” after the $250M lawsuit laid at their doorstep.

you guys at post are crackers, ACA was fraud and Medicare for retired people over 65 and if you get an serious illness, they can take your assets to cover expenses for staying hospital.

Which conservative think tank does the writer work for?

Jeff Bezos is going to buy out all of the insurance companies ,, cause he’s that kind of guy

yeah this does not even compare...government run universal healthcare would (or at least should) come with significantly better benefits

Desperate third-way losers rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic of their shitty ideology.

go away this is garbage

Yes we do, you shitbirds.

We know you cannot comment about the $250 Million lawsuit you are about to loose, But we can. GET REKT

Better than what they had. But better than what I pay for? If so, how would I become a detained migrant? I have a heart condition is like looked at. Oh wait, Border guys let those kids die and that one guy yesterday passed away in their care. Nevermind n
