The shock diagnosis came after Sophie started getting headaches and struggled with double vision

A Co Armagh dad is pushing himself to the limit this week to support two charities which supported him and his family during the toughest of times.

More tests uncovered a growth behind her right eye and two weeks later came the biopsy results confirming her cancer. "On 17th August 2021, Sophie received her final treatment and got to 'ring the bell', which signifies getting the all clear. She will remain an outpatient until she is 18 while receiving regular MRI scans and check-ups."

Steve, who has two other teenage daughters, 16-year-old Kaylagh and Lauren, 15, added: "I have chosen two charities to support as we had direct involvement with them during Sophie's illness. "He only made the decision to do this back in January after we'd been to Benone last year on a little weekend away and that gave him the idea.
