Approximately 2,700 people are diagnosed with lung cancer each year in Ireland

An uncomplicated test using your finger can be done at home to check to see if you have any symptoms of lung cancer.

However, people are reportedly able to identify a few early signs of the illness, reports Bristol Live. Much of the tell-tale signs tend to be respiratory, however there is one early warning sign that shows on your fingertips. To carry out the test you have to press your fingernails together.
