As medical and recreational marijuana becomes legal in more and more places, experts worry that there isn't enough science on the risks of the drug, especially for patients with heart disease.

NOW they’re worried. A bit late for that.

Regardless of what science thinks about something that's a natural herb ,grown from mother earth, they otta just mind their own damn business!!

Hold on! The news media has been helping for a decade to spread the word that marijuana is less harmful to the person and the public. And you wonder why most people do not listen anymore!!

Fear mongering at its best again by NBC 'News' You guys are so pathetic

Science? How about the fact that millions of Americans have been ingesting it for decades and it hasn’t shown a link to any long term medical issues. Just another excuse to try to keep it illegal.

What about people who are allergic/ like me? The fumes from people’s clothing is enough to kill me.

And this is why the FDA is cracking down on these places! It needs to be regulated before sale!

One dude suffers a heart attack? Lmao. Pretty sure he was gonna have one anyway.

Its not a drug its a herb!

School shooters by and large are serious marijuana users. Before gun control we ought to look at the link between marijuana and psychosis.

This is really stupid! Israel is one of the countries that has been using cannabis on the battlefield. I’m certain they have some research

Oh for crying out loud! The FDA will approve untested vaccines for pregnant mothers (don’t get me wrong I am for vaccines) but scientists are worried about a natural plant that people have been smoking around the world for hundreds of years? GTFOH

These 'experts' sound like assholes. We all know what marijuana does, it's not new - someone make me an 'expert' and I'll explain it to you.

Thats their fault, they had plenty of time. They are just making excuses to scare the weak, and there are tons of weak minded people, more then not.

NBC, still stuck in 'Reefer Madness'.Cannabis with zero toxic fatalities and almost no statistical record of traffic accidents, versus alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical drugs which kill over 650,000 US citizens annually plus another 21,000 in traffic deaths.

From the article seems to me that he had way too much of a sativa edible that caused his “hallucinations” that combined with his heart condition might have contributed to his heart attack. He should’ve had an indica edible then he probably would’ve gone to sleep

The “experts” have had about 60 years to do their research. Don’t want to hear any crabbing about it now. legalizemarijuana

Why isn't there enough science? Because research is restricted at the federal level.

Sounds like he had way too much of a sativa lollipop when he should’ve had an indica edible. So maybe it was the the effects from the wrong type of cannabis edible combined with his preexisting condition that contributed to his death

kite

The heart attack was not caused by the Marijuana it was caused by the sugar. They just want to blame Marijuana so they can stop selling those items.

They use edibles to get you started. Then they get you on dabs, wax stuff which they put other drugs in to make you their best customer! After about a year on wax your brain is toast.

So get the federal government to declassify it so marijuana isn't a schedule 1 drug, and you can do more research on it.

That never stopped them from selling man-made drugs with proven bad side effects. 🙄 BigPharma

Tell us what 5G does to our dna please.

i can assure you it is not from marijuana edibles.

Next up: Doctors worry about marijuana use causing broken bones after man eats cannabis bon bon and jumps off a bridge

It is common knowledge that the edibles have extremely high levels of THC. That’s why you don’t eat “almost the entire” piece at once.

Oh for fucks sake..

Meanwhile it is perfectly acceptable to sell tobacco...a known source for cancer.

Where is Kamala Harris on this one?

Says the same people who made it IMPOSSIBLE to study medical uses or marijuana for decades.

Bull shit they have thousands of years of data

But keep drinking liquor

My main concern is parenting under the influence. It’s going to turn a civilization wide deficit into an extinction level crisis.

I have no problem for the use of any drug that helps with an illness but drugs do things to the brain, and should not be used recreational. If you think smoking cigarettes are harmful, marijuana is worse.

Ridiculous

My friends and myself have been guinea pigs for the last 27 years and I’m happy to report that we all are happy(very happy) and healthy.

Bob Harper had a heart attack too sooooooo 🤔🤷‍♂️

Now they do have time to sort out the side effects on varying terminal illnesses

“Experts”... heh

Many, many people are saying the WhiteHouse is concealing information about Trumpski's health. Just as the GOP hid Ronny R's Alzheimer's, they are now concealing Trumpski's syphilitic dementia and Adderall addiction. Snnnnniiiiiiiiffffff

Oh u mean like when they flooded the market with opioids... Trading science for in office lap dances Ugh

They have a whole generation (baby boomers) with which to do their studies.

That’s ridiculous.

If you have heart disease I am pretty sure that over eating is your problem not marijuana

Blame the federal govt for that.
