Kidnapped Zamfara Female Students Facing Threat Of Forceful Marriage, Regains Freedom, Undergoing Medical ExamsFour female students of Zamfara State College of Arts and Sciences, ZACAS, Gusau, who faced the threat of forceful marriage have reportedly been freed from captivity.
The students, who wore hijabs and appeared emaciated, said they faced the threat of forced marriage over the inability of their families to pay the ransom of N12 million demanded by the abductors. It was reported that the abductees, identified as Aisha Yahaya, Jamila Yahaya, Ummu Sani, and Hauwa Garba, were kidnapped along Birnin Magaji-Kaura Namoda Road in Zamfara State some months ago.
On Thursday, a counter-terrorism expert, Zagazola Makama on Lake Chad area on Twitter announced that the four students had been released, adding that they were in hospital undergoing medical check-up. He tweeted:"These Abducted victims have reportedly regained their freedom from armed bandits in Zamfara state.
