Some good advice here from Dr Michael Mosley, who believes a Mediterranean way of eating is a far better way to lose weight and reduce your risk of heart disease

Health expert Dr Michael Mosley has said there was ‘little evidence’ that going on a low fat diet can help with weight loss. In a new post on Instagram, he said it wasn’t the best way to go about losing belly fat or weight in general, and cited scientific studies to prove his point.

“‘Go on a low-fat diet’ has been the advice of dieticians and doctors for the last half century, despite remarkably little evidence that such regimes are effective,” said Dr Mosley. He goes on to look at a study that began back in 1991 called The Women’s Health Initiative.
