The diagnosis has changed Andrew O'Brien's outlook on life.

Andrew O'Brien was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, a type of nerve damage. Before he was diagnosed, the 41-year-old was suffering from "unbearable" pain and numbness in his hands and arms. He was often falling over due to issues balancing.

He told Glasgow Live: "I was down in the dumps. Sitting down one day and getting depressed, I thought about all the things that are good in my life like my family and friends. Speaking about his health battle, Andrew added: "When I am playing the guitar, I can’t feel the strings and my hands are constantly numb.
