Why Wellcome is tackling the health impacts of climate change. World View from AlanDangour wellcometrust, part of our focus on Building Healthy Populations.

At Wellcome, we have set out on a mission to put health at the heart of climate action. We want to transform the generation and use of climate change and health research evidence to drive urgent mitigation and adaptation activities at scale.

At the same time, we want to build an engaged global field of academics, policy stakeholders, civil society organizations and the public. Our aim is that the multitude of policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to the impacts of ongoing climate change should be focused on the health of people.
