Labor will review amendments to medical evacuation bill: Keneally | Sky News AustraliaFULL INTERVIEW: Labor's Kristina Keneally says Labor is reviewing whether it will support a government proposal that will give doctors more of a say on whether refugees housed in offshore detentions can be brought to Australia for treatment.\n\nPrime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed the government will set up to set up an independent medical review panel to oversee medical transfers for sick asylum seekers and refugees, however the final decision on whether they can be brought to Australia will remain within the Department of Home Affairs.\n\nThe move is slightly different what is being proposed in Wentworth MP Kerryn Phelp's bill, which gives doctors the final say on whether a sick asylum seeker can be transported to Australia.\n\nMs Keneally told Sky News Labor will look at the amendments that have been put forward on both sides before making a decision on whether it will support any legislation.\n\n\n\n KKeneally I would have thought Allah would be taking care of them! Like he did the 1500 who died at sea under Labor’s bleeding heart approach. Maybe their faith isn’t that strong after all! KKeneally Ah the stupidity.
