In a social media post today , musician and producer Jae Chong revealed that Lee has been secretly battling cancer for several months. "I remember when she told me about her illness few months ago, I sat in my car crying nonstop. She was suffering from so many different things including secretly battling cancer," added Chong, who has produced music for Asian artistes such as L.A.Boyz, Stanley Huang as well as Lee.
"She was a true fighter. She didn’t want her fans and family to worry. I pray that she is in heaven where there is no more pain. We love you Coco! We will never forget you! We will continue your legacy! R.I.P. @cocolee," Chong, 51, wrote.
