Broadcaster Fiona Phillips has shared the sad news that she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, revealing to the Mirror that it has "ravaged" her family and now it has "come for" her too.
The couple, who have been married since 1997 and share two children together, met while they both worked on GMTV, and although Fiona had never planned to get married, Martin proposed to his now-wife after just four weeks. Discussing the ceremony later, she joked: "I remember filling in the details for the licence and thinking I could have put that I'm marrying Mickey Mouse or Eamonn Holmes and no one would have been the wiser....The fact is, we’re still together."
