The Philippines recorded a total of 4,281 new coronavirus infections in the week from June 12 to June 18, 2023, data from the Department of Health (DOH) indicated on Monday.

According to the latest DOH bulletin, the number of new cases in the recent week was lower by 35% than the 6,630 infections registered from June 5 to June 11. The daily case average likewise declined to 612 from the previous week's 947.

The DOH data also showed there was one COVID-19-related death monitored last month. No new fatalities were logged in the past week. At least 346 or 16.6% of the 2,080 intensive care unit beds were also used, while 3,434 or 19.5% of the 17,647 non-ICU COVID-19 beds were occupied.
