Warning to parents over abduction fears - as man posing as HSE worker calls to home of disabled boy

The warning comes after the unidentified male called to the home of a parent whose child avails of home support disability services in the Midlands Louth/Meath area at the end of May.

“The mum reported that she was immediately suspicious and asked the man to present his ID," the letter stated. "He did not provide any identification and left.” In a statement to this paper, the HSE confirmed it has been made aware of the incident and has reported it to the gardai and TUSLA. “HSE staff providing out of home support will only call upon prior arrangements in place. HSE staff carry photo ID.
