'My concerns appeared to be fobbed off.'

star Rebecca Ferguson has claimed that ITV allegedly "refused" her request to investigate allegations of mistreatment towards contestants on reality shows.

However, Ferguson claimed she received a reply from a senior ITV official who declined her request for an investigation. She also claimed contestants were "forced into contracts without independent legal advice", deeming the solicitors and accountants who were provided to them at the time as not being "independent" or having the clients "best interests" in mind., she sent the email to ITV on March 11, 2021, and received a reply almost a fortnight later from ITV's Chief Operation Officer Sarah Clarke.
