Toronto health inspectors were not laughing when they handed out more than a dozen infractions to a comedy bar and lounge.

Its three crucial violations were failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration, ensuring a food handler washes their hands as necessary to prevent contamination of food, and maintaining potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature between 4C and 60C.Article content MB’s seven significant infractions included using utensils not free from cracks in contact with food, using food equipment not of readily cleanable form, not providing adequate refrigerated space for food storage, not maintaining its hand-washing stations with soap and paper towels, and failing to protect against the harbouring of pests..

As for its minor infractions, the food-handling room’s floors and ceiling were not maintained and the establishment failed to ensure its equipment surface was sanitized as necessary.
