Bill Gates released his annual summer reading list on Tuesday — and it had a twist.that he decided to"mix it up" this year"because there's more to life than reading."
Unlike previous years, when Gates has shared a handful of book recommendations, the Microsoft cofounder included one of his favorite TV shows and a handful of songs for the summer, in addition to a few book he's enjoyed.Bill Gates recommended the book "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" for his 2023 summer reading list.
Gates said he loved the book even though he doesn't consider himself a gamer. The billionaire said the book shows"how a creative partnership can be equal parts remarkable and complicated" and reminded him of his relationship with Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen. "An early chapter describing how Sam and Sadie worked until sunrise in a dingy apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts, could have just as easily been about Paul and me coming up with the idea for Microsoft," Gates said in a."Like Sam and Sadie, we worked together every day for years. Paul's vision and contributions to the company were absolutely critical to its success, and then he chose to move on.
