"Just when companies are ditching their Metaverse initiatives, our research shows that it's actually time for development and investment," said Michael J. Wolf, CEO of Activate and a former MTV president and board member of Yahoo.
Companies will need to prioritize metaverse strategies, along with investments in AI, consumer engagement, and tech development, he added. The metaverse is already here in video games and gaming platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, World of Warcraft, and PubG, Wolf also noted. This is where"The path to the Metaverse will be through video games," he said."They already have virtual worlds, users at scale, IP, social, sophisticated user creation, economies, etc."
