Brandon Crawford (calf) is eligible to return from the IL on Thursday; Giants don’t anticipate rehab assignment.

SAN FRANCISCO — Brandon Crawford ran sprints along the cut of the outfield grass Monday afternoon. He made his way on to the infield dirt and took ground balls. Finally, he stepped into the batting cage and took some of his left-handed hacks.

“Mainly just making sure that his calf is good to go and that he’s confident,” manager Gabe Kapler said. “That’s the number one thing. We want him to come back when he feels confident and athletic.” Wood threw 46 pitches while allowed two runs over 3⅔ innings. He allowed six hits but didn’t walk a batter.
