Dr Michael Mosley has shared some of the things he does and eats in order to speed up his metabolic rate, which are all simple enough for us to add into our daily routines.
Michael says that when you experience this problem, the issue could be that your metabolism has slowed down. Writing in a column for the Daily Mail, the diet guru explained that over the past 40 years or so, metabolic rates in the UK and other countries have significantly slowed down. Michael wrote: "To the scientists’ great surprise they discovered, instead, that basal metabolic rates had dropped, which explains the big fall in total energy expenditure.
