Migrant surge seen along US-Mexico border ahead of Title 42 end
The U.S. is preparing for the end of Title 42, a policy linked to the coronavirus pandemic that allowed it to quickly expel many migrants. The troops will not be patrolling, instead, they will do data entry, warehouse support and other administrative tasks so that U.S. Customs and Border Protection can focus on fieldwork, the White House said.
