The COVID-19 vaccination should be part of the government’s inoculation program to boost the protection of Filipinos against the infection, an infectious disease expert said on a “24 Oras” report by Lei Alviz.

"The Department of Health should make COVID vaccination a part of the vaccination or the regular vaccination program, incorporate it in the regular vaccination policy,” Solante said. “Malaking bagay talaga kung libre,… hindi naman lahat ng LGU ay may sapat na pondo. Pagdating po sa ibang lugar, hindi po ganun kalakihan ang pondo ng local govt units kaya kung maari po sana malaking tulong talaga kung kayang maging libre pa rin ang mga bakunang ito,” he said.DOH data culled by GMA Integrated News Research showed that from May 1 to 7, there were 1,352 average daily reported cases of COVID-19 nationwide.
