Why is President Biden sending 1,500 troops to the U.S.-Mexico border?

President Joe Biden will send 1,500 active-duty American soldiers to the U.S.-Mexico border, as the nation gets ready for the end of Title 42, the public health policy that let the federal government turn away people seeking asylum due to the threat of COVID-19.

Title 42 ends a week from Thursday. The end of Title 42 has caused cities along the border, like El Paso to declare emergencies because they're expecting waves of people seeking asylum. What's that going to mean for U.S. Customs and Border Protection? Immigration attorney Eric Cedillo joined Ask the Expert on Tuesday.
